'Science Olympiad is an American elementary, middle, and high school team competition in m2014-2015(29thAnnual) Division B Rules Manual.pdf. The Science Olympiad goggle policy will be moving from a numbered 1. Science Olympiad (SO) is nationwide competition. Here is what theNational Science Olympiad Website (www.soinc.org) has to say aboutpreparing:

GeneralHelp or Multiple Event Sites

1.www.quizlet.com If for your event you need to know how to identify pictures of items (Such as Deep Blue Sea and A is for Anatomy), when you search on quizlet, put 'pictures' in your search. Example: Go to quizlet.com and in the Quizlet box, put in 'Deep Blue Sea + Pictures' this will find Quizlets that include vocabulary words with definitions (like a normal quizlet BUT also will have pictures of Flora (Plants) and Fauna (Animals) that live in the Deep Blue Sea on the Flashcards as well.

2.http://www.scioly.org/This is the national Sci(ence)oly(mpics) Student-based Study Site – oodles ofstuff here BUT it is for the Advanced 6th Grade – 12thgrade Divisions. This doesn’t mean that there isn’t anything here for you! There are test samples and likely MOST importantly and Image Gallery, where youcan see what devices that have been submitted looked like.

3.www.teachertube.comThis is a site where teachers plan lessons and have resources to show tostudents. A lot of good material. You might be able to search for ScienceOlympiad + event or you might just have to search for t

14. https://wardsci.com/store/- Not for buying but for ideas. Wards is the only authorized place to buyanything for in the Science Olympiad, so what they put together as kits mightgive you an idea or direction when you are stuck and can’t think of what to do.

15. If your event (or one very similar) is offered in Division B, then take a look at the Division B at some of the related sites on the Division B list - but be aware that they will be HARDER. That isn't a bad thing, just something to keep in mind.

Keep in mind, even if you are in 3rd grade, you will be competing against kids all the way up to 6th grade. You must learn as much about your subject as possible. I gave you a copy of your event and that tells you exactly what the scope of your event will cover. Learn as much of it as possible. We would all love to win every event - and it will be our goal to go and do our best to do that - but this first year with me as coach there is MUCH to learn! So we will learn all we can learn, compete to the best of our ability and thank God for our opportunity to participate!

Study, study, study! Let me know any sites you find that are helpful and what event you are studying for that they were so helpful for, so I can add them to this website.
