The Spangle Maker Rarity

 admin

Here, says Spangle, is the explanation for the appearance of Patronuses in forms that their casters might not expect, for which they have never felt a particular affinity, or (in rare cases) even recognise. Spangle is interesting on the subject of those unusual witches and wizards who produce a Patronus that takes the form of their favourite animal.

IT has been performed by some of the most famous singers on the planet - from Super Bowls to Las Vegas superfights.

The Star-Spangled Banner is known the world over but do you know the history behind America's national anthem?

What is Star-Spangled Banner?

The song is the American National Anthem and was recognised for official use by the US Navy in 1889.

It then became the official anthem in March 1931 on a congressional resolution signed by President Herbert Hoover.

The version of Star-Spangled Banner usually sung at sporting events only features the first verse, but the full song actually has four verses in total.

All four verses conclude with the same line: “O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave.”

Who wrote the USA's National Anthem?

It was written in 1814 by poet Francis Scott Key, who was inspired by the sight of the American flag still flying over Fort McHenry after a night of heavy British bombardment.

The words were immediately set to a popular melody of the time, To Anacreon in Heaven.

The music was actually an English song composed in 1775 that soon become a popular pub staple.

Interestingly, the anthem wasn't always called Star-Spangled Banner - Key did not give it a title when he wrote it but when the verses were printed in newspapers, it was under the title Defence of Fort M'Henry.

O say can you see, by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming,
Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there;
O say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

On the shore dimly seen through the mists of the deep,
Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes,
What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep,
As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses?
Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam,
In full glory reflected now shines in the stream:
'Tis the star-spangled banner, O long may it wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.

And where is that band who so vauntingly swore
That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion,
A home and a country, should leave us no more?
Their blood has washed out their foul footsteps' pollution.
No refuge could save the hireling and slave
From the terror of flight, or the gloom of the grave:
And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave,
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.

O thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved homes and the war's desolation.
Blest with vict'ry and peace, may the Heav'n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation!
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: 'In God is our trust.'
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Where is Star-Spangled banner usually performed?

One of the most famous events for the national anthem is before the start of the Super Bowl - the biggest annual event in US sports.

Half-time shows are a huge part of American football, with big stars performing at the most important games – and there is none bigger than the Super Bowl.

At Donald Trump's Presidential Inauguration, 16-year-old Jackie Evancho performed the National Anthem.

Demi Lovato performed the Star-Spangled Banner at the Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather showdown on August 26.

The 25-year-old who recorded the hit single ‘Let it Go’ for the Disney movie Frozen, is a massive fan of UFC and boxing.

Fortnite’s store is pretty unique in the industry in that they don’t have a permanent slate of items you can buy whenever you want. Rather, the store rotates daily, encouraging purchases because you don’t have any idea when a skin might rotate back around again. Possible in a month, possible not for over a year.

Usually, Fortnite is pretty good about cycling most old skins back in, but with so many new skins being added to the game every season, some things are getting lost in the cracks. Redditor u/GeneralGrievous has a rather interesting project where they keep track of all the skins, items and emotes that have not been in the store for a very, very long time.

It’s a useful tool because if you see any of these crop up in the store, you’ll know that they’re pretty rare and you may want to snag them. Right now there are 25 skins in this list that haven’t been in the store for at least 100 days, with a few that haven’t been in the game for over a year. I bet you won’t guess what #1 is.

1. Recon Expert – 431 Days

As you can see, some of these make sense because they’re holiday offerings like for the Fourth of July or St. Patrick’s Day. Others seem destined to be on this list indefinitely. Halloween came and went without the return of Ghoul Trooper, for instance, and it seems unlikely that we’ll see her before next Halloween, if ever.

I remain perplexed about Recon Expert, who has been one of the rarest skins in the game for a long time now, and is just sort of a random military model of no real significance. I wonder if Epic is purposefully leaving her out of the rotation as a running joke, or if that skin has been retired for some reason. But if you see someone with it, you know that they’re a true OG.

Some of the more modern skins I feel may have been left behind because they weren’t that popular. I’m looking at Fly Trap specifically, as that is one of the ugliest skins in the game, and I wonder if skins just don’t sell well, that they don’t return. That might be true of the two hippie skins as well, skins that probably wouldn’t not sell well to Fortnite’s Younger-skewing crowd who doesn’t even understand what they’re supposed to be.

None of these skins are…particularly amazing, really, as they’re either really old, back before Epic was making truly memorable skins, or they’re just not that great, and poor sales may have left them out of the rotation. Still, it’s an interesting list to see all the same.
