Other than the type of metal, i.e. blue, brushed stainless, bright stainless, E Nickel, etc. and the 1st, 2nd and 3rd gen stocks, the Python really did not change much over the years. Up through the mid 1960's the underlug was hollow. Of course, there are the special runs, like the Lew Horton three inch Combat Python, or the eight inch Python Target 38SP which was only made in 1980. And the Snake Eyes and Double Diamond sets. I can't be certain the book has been updated to include all of the information on the special production runs.
